The United Kingdom suspends free trade negotiations with Israel over its Gaza offensive.

The British government announced Tuesday the suspension of negotiations on a free trade agreement with Israel, imposed new sanctions on its settlers in the West Bank, and recalled its ambassador to London due to the Gaza conflict.

Rescuers in the Gaza Strip reported Tuesday the deaths of at least 44 people from Israeli bombing, which has intensified its military operations in the devastated Palestinian territory in recent days.
