The young man who stabbed his father in the neck in Aranda de Duero (Burgos) has been sentenced to prison without bail.

Detention without bail. This was the decision handed down this Tuesday afternoon by the Court of First Instance and Investigation No. 2 of Aranda de Duero (Burgos), acting as duty judge, for the 23-year-old man who allegedly killed his father with a knife to the neck on Saturday afternoon.

The alleged murderer, who was arrested that same Saturday after fleeing the scene, spent almost the full 72 hours at the police station until he left the National Police station early this afternoon to be taken to court to testify.

The judge has ordered his imprisonment, provisionally, with prior notice and without bail, for the violent death of his father, whom he inflicted a fatal wound to the neck with a knife.

The tragic events occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in an industrial warehouse owned by the family business, on the BU-925 highway, at kilometer 1, on the outskirts of Aranda de Duero. There, for reasons that have not been disclosed, father and son had an argument that ended in tragedy. Witnesses saw the alleged stabber flee.

When the first emergency personnel arrived at the scene, the 56-year-old man was still alive, but he died right there from the severe neck injuries inflicted by his attacker. It was his son, Antolín. The alleged murderer fled. He was located a few kilometers from Aranda de Duero. He did not resist being detained by the National Police , but by the time he was arrested, he had already disposed of the murder weapon.
