Three arrested for fraud and multiple vehicle theft in Saltillo

Three men were arrested by members of the Vehicle Theft Squad after being identified for their participation in a fraud and multiple vehicle theft scheme, in which the same car was stolen on at least three occasions from different owners in Saltillo .
The detainees were identified as Jesús Raymundo “N” , 23; Jaime Andrés “N” , 28; and Arturo “N” , 39. According to the Police Department for Security and Citizen Protection , the gang operated by offering vehicles through social media , and after completing the sale, one of the suspects used a duplicate key to steal the car again and resell it.

The most recent case involves a 2020 Ford Figo , which authorities tracked. The same vehicle had three stolen reports filed by different owners: one in the Cecilia Occelli neighborhood, another at the intersection of Juárez and Matamoros , and another in Rayón, near Colegio México .
According to the investigation, the fraudsters used a GPS device to track the location of the stolen vehicle. Thanks to cameras from the Command and Control Center (C2) , intelligence work, and field monitoring, the car was located in the Fundadores neighborhood , where it was already being offered for sale again, now with allegedly false documentation .
Authorities are continuing investigations into possible similar crimes committed in Ramos Arizpe, Arteaga, and the state of Nuevo León . The police department also urged the public to report any similar cases to the Public Prosecutor's Office to strengthen the ongoing investigation .
