Channel subscriptions will allow users to support their favorite channels through a subscription that allows them to receive exclusive updates for a monthly fee. Promoted channels, meanwhile, will allow users to discover channels of interest and administrators to increase their visibility.

Similarly, WhatsApp will also introduce status ads, allowing users to easily initiate conversations with companies about the products or services they promote in this space.

Thus, the social network has reported that these features are aimed at administrators and businesses, so users who use WhatsApp only for messaging will not see these changes.
