'Wild Cards' is a series that highlights the power of two opposing individuals in the world of police investigation.

Life has dealt Cole Ellis a painful setback. He went from being a prestigious detective to being relegated to an investigative section of a marine unit, all because of an incident that affected his career. His existence is marked by a halo of hopelessness that could change, of course, if he makes a huge effort.

That's precisely what happens when he's informed he has to work on a case with a colleague who is diametrically opposed to his values. The "lone wolf" has to take in a cunning con artist who ends up on the good side, becoming essential to the new challenge. For both of them, it's the perfect opportunity to reinvent themselves.
The series stars Giacomo Gianniotti, known for his role in Grey's Anatomy as Andrew DeLuca, a prominent doctor, and in the Italian series Deception, in which he was part of the main cast. Vanessa Morgan plays Max. The actress is best known for her role in the series Riverdale.
Also joining the cast of Wild Cards are Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills High School fame) as George Mitchell, a legendary master of deception and Max's father; Fletcher Donovan as Ricky Wilson, Max's loyal butler and partner in crime; Ferry Chen as the ruthless Chief Li; and Jason Michael Xavier and Amy Goodmurphy as detectives Simmons and Yates, who never miss an opportunity to test Ellis.

With a vibrant style and a perfect blend of crime, action, and humor, 'Wild Cards' captures the essence of the best investigative series with a police duo dynamic reminiscent of hit titles like 'Castle' and the recent 'Hudson & Rex,' just to name a few.
For critic Joel Keller, it's an easy-to-digest film, but that can't be taken as a negative. "It's a light and simple show that's made very watchable by Vanessa Morgan's entertaining performance," he emphasized.
