Billy Joel cancels his entire tour after being diagnosed with a brain disorder.

Billy Joel cancels his entire tour after being diagnosed with a brain disorder.

Pop sensation Billy Joel has canceled a series of shows on his world tour after being diagnosed with a brain condition that worsened due to his recent performances , his team said Friday.

"Billy Joel has announced the cancellation of all scheduled concerts following a recent diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH)," the pianist's team wrote on their website.

The Alzheimer's Association states that NPH is "a brain disorder in which excess cerebrospinal fluid accumulates in the ventricles of the brain."

The dates include several in the UK, as well as a busy schedule in the United States , from July 2025 to July 2026 , when he was due to conclude his ambitious series of concerts in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Joel's team added that "this condition has been exacerbated by his recent concerts, causing hearing, vision, and balance issues."

"I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience and thank you for your understanding," wrote Joel, known for his hits 'Piano Man,' 'You May Be Right,' 'Uptown Girl,' and 'We Didn't Start the Fire.'
