Influencer reports attempted robbery in Bucaramanga: 'I'm scared stiff'
Visibly affected, the influencer , journalist and actress Daniela Leal reported in a video on her Tiktok account that she was again the victim of an attempted robbery in the Cabecera del Llano sector, in Bucaramanga.
Leal tearfully recounted that a man on a motorcycle tried to snatch her cell phone while she was walking through that area of the Santander capital.
“They just tried to rob me here in Cabecera, on all of 54, 31, or 29 streets, something like that. And I really don't understand. I don't understand how a person can have such a hard heart to be able to say, 'Today I'm going out to steal to bring food home.' I mean, really, how can they have such a rotten heart in life?” he commented.
'That would be the fourth cell phone I have to buy in less than a year.'
In the video, Daniela expressed her anger and frustration over the city's insecurity , as this would be the fourth cell phone she has lost—or almost lost—in less than a year due to similar incidents.
“I'm fed up with the thieves. I'm fed up. The guy tried... he was on a motorcycle and tried to take my cell phone, and I was talking, and he hit me here,” she said, showing the affected area. “I'm fed up with not being able to go out, with having to hide, with having to be afraid, that they might rob us, that they might kill us, that they might rape us,” she said.
The location of the incident is one of the busiest areas of Bucaramanga , and in recent weeks has become the scene of various security incidents. At this time, local authorities have not commented on the attempted robbery reported by Daniela Leal.
The video the influencer shared on her TikTok account quickly went viral, and many of her followers began sharing their own experiences of insecurity in the city.
"If a survey were conducted right now in Bucaramanga, 90% of citizens would say they don't feel safe," commented one of her followers.
"She is the face of what we Bucaramanga residents must live with every day," said another follower.
Daniela Leal works as a journalist for the newspaper Última Hora Col and is a theater actress.
