Kanye West's former assistant accuses the rapper of assault and sex trafficking: here's what we know about the complaint

Kanye West's former assistant accuses the rapper of assault and sex trafficking: here's what we know about the complaint
American rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, was accused Thursday of assault and sex trafficking by one of his former assistants, Lauren Pisciotta, in a new complaint, adding to the one he filed in June 2024.
Pisciotta worked as the artist's personal assistant, eventually becoming chief of staff for his various companies, between July 2021 and October 2022, when she was fired, according to her lawyers, for refusing to comply with the rapper's sexual advances.
In this second lawsuit , Pisciotta alleges that West "orally raped her without her consent" and forced her to comply with his sexual demands, making false promises about her professional career, according to Variety magazine.

The first complaint
In the original complaint, she accused him of sexual harassment, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and hostile work environment, adding to the current charges, creating a list of eleven, including sexual and physical assault, sex trafficking, discrimination, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
When the first complaint was filed, West's attorney called the allegations "baseless" and said they planned to file a countersuit.

According to the document, the former assistant was subjected to "obscene comments about her body , (the singer) demanded that she wear tight clothing, regularly groped her, forced her to watch Ye having sex with other women," and sent and received "sexually explicit photos."
It also indicates that the rapper repeatedly demanded that she participate in his sexual encounters, which she refused to do, according to the lawsuit reported by Variety.
What is known about the sex trafficking charges?
In the sex trafficking allegation, the document states that the rapper "recruited and deceived Plaintiff by making fraudulent promises of career advancement in exchange for her consent to sexual contact with Ye," and that he used force and coercion to obtain his sexual demands.
According to the lawsuit, after the assistant's termination, the harassment continued, as West moved into the same apartment complex where the former assistant lived and even when she moved to Florida "to escape him."

Already in Florida, the harassment, he claims, turned into "falsely reporting nonexistent emergencies and incidents, as well as requesting fraudulent services and deliveries to his home."
Pisciotta demanded a jury trial to recover general, economic, and punitive damages , including loss of past and future income.
This case is reminiscent of the recent New York trial, which West attended as a spectator, where fellow rapper Sean Combs, known as Diddy, was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and other crimes, but was found guilty of the lesser charges he faced.
