Taurocromos are here, the ultimate stamp collection for bullfighting lovers.

Taurocromos are here, the ultimate stamp collection for bullfighting lovers.

Bullfighting enthusiasts now have their own collectible in the form of the so-called stamps. Taurocromos arrive at newsstands this May 9th for fans of the national festival, as well as for those who want to learn more about the world of bullfighting.

HolyCards Publicaciones , which has already successfully launched other collectibles such as HolyCards (Holy Week), GadiCards (carnivals) and BetisCards, is now putting this TauroCromos collection at various points of sale. It will have an initial print run of 25,000 albums and around 14 million cards, with national distribution.

The edition includes a total of 558 trading cards and presents the following sections: the most emblematic national and international bullrings; current bullfighting figures, matadors, rejoneadores (bullfighters on horseback), and novilleros (bullfighters with horses); the main bullfighting ranches; a section featuring historic bullfighters from the 20th century; and key figures from the bullfighting world who are essential for understanding the evolution and permanence of this festival.

The defense of bullfighting

The presentation of this collection, held at the Museum of Arts and Customs in Seville, was attended by Antonio Sanz, Minister of the Presidency of the Andalusian Regional Government; Angie Moreno, Delegate for Culture and Tourism of the Seville City Council; as well as other personalities and figures from the bullfighting world, such as the novillero Javier Zulueta.

Antonio Sanz praised this initiative, noting that "we're going to enjoy these trading cards, this history of bullfighting, and this defense of a sector that's experiencing a very prosperous moment, even though some insist on making decisions against it." The politician continued, making it clear that "the Andalusian government has no qualms about defending business owners or defending what's ours. Because it's not just about tradition and culture, it's also about tourism and job creation. People see us on every continent; we're bringing the festival to every continent in the world. Andalusia is about bullfighting, and so is its government."

For her part, Angie Moreno stated that "bullfighting is this city's main festival. As part of this government, we are committed to promoting our hallmarks, and one of them is bullfighting. I want to thank the Pepe Pinreles company for this collection that keeps the value of this tradition alive. Seville and bullfighting are inseparable; they are part of our city and culture, but also of our tourism."

On the other hand, Javier Ayala, CEO of Holy Cards, made it clear in his speech that "the audiences for the last few bullfights show that people are hungry for bulls, and we wanted to do our part with these cards. I must thank the ranchers, bullfighters, bullfighting teams, and, above all, the fans for keeping this tradition alive."

Furthermore, this company has also wanted the benefits of this Taurochrome collection to benefit those most in need, so part of the proceeds will go to the Children's Oncohematology Foundation.
