"His music is enduring, impactful, and has deep cultural significance. Musicians have the right to freedom of expression, and we stand in solidarity with all of our members," he added. Trump, who is touring the Middle East, called Springsteen an "arrogant moron" on Friday after the musician called his government "corrupt, incompetent, and traitorous" during a concert in the United Kingdom.
"This parched rocker (his skin is atrophied!) should KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the country; that's the normal thing to do. Then we'll see what happens to him!" Trump said, in a threatening tone, in a message on social media.
Trump dedicated another message to Taylor Swift, saying she's "no longer popular ." "Has anyone noticed that since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'POPULAR'?" the president asked.
Both Swift and Springsteen supported the Democrats in the 2024 presidential election, which was won by Trump.
