The Aroche August Fair festivities have been presented: Portuguese bullfights, cow releases, and a bullfighting festival.

The mayor of the Huelva town of Aroche, Cristina Romero , accompanied by local businessman Manuel Sevillano and cattle rancher José Luis Pereda , has presented the festivities of the upcoming August Bullfighting Fair, which will be held in the town square on August 22 and 23.

Cristina Romero pointed out that "the Fair becomes a perfect time for reunions and enjoyment, centered around the cultural program and, of course, the bullfighting festivities that entertain local residents and attract numerous visitors every year." Aroche is a member of the Andalusian Bullfighting Municipality Network , and the bullfighting festival represents a clear commitment by the City Council to this cultural tradition and a boost to the town's economy.

The deeply rooted Cow Release and the festival with figures both on foot and on horseback, together with the Portuguese Forcados , accompany the bullfights that will be held in the bullring that dates back to 1802 and is located within the Almohad castle built at the end of the 11th century.

Friday, August 22 (6:00 p.m.), Popular Cow Release Festival with cattle from José Luis Pereda . Saturday, August 23 (7:00 p.m.), festival with cattle from the José Luis Pereda ranch for the Portuguese rejoneador Joaquín Brito Paes and the Spanish Rocío Arrogante , the bullfighters Javier Conde and Canales Rivera , and the novillero Juan Antonio Vázquez . In addition, the Real Grupo de Forcados de Moura will perform during the festival.

Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday at City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Tourist Office from Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and at La Corredera Tobacco Shop during business hours.
