The Spanish comedy on Netflix to help you forget about going back to work: Eduardo Noriega and Inma Cuesta adapt a play.

A Spanish romantic comedy available on Netflix promises to be the perfect way to unwind after the May long weekend . With a musical theme , romantic twists, and unexpected situations, the film offers a breath of fresh air thanks to a top-notch cast and an approach that's as emotional as it is funny.

This ensemble feature film features recognizable faces intertwined in a web of romantic relationships, breakups, existential doubts, and unlikely encounters. The story's uniqueness lies in the fact that everything takes place on different Wednesdays between 2010 and 2014 , in a nonlinear narrative where each scene reveals new connections between the characters.

Set in emblematic locations in Madrid and with a carefully curated soundtrack that includes covers of artists such as Coque Malla and Vetusta Morla , the film manages to turn each romantic conflict into an opportunity to laugh, sing and reflect .

Little love affairs

In the fiction, Patricia (María León) is dating César (Gorka Otxoa), but he hasn't been able to forget Mara (Inma Cuesta), his longtime girlfriend, who dumped him right after asking her to marry him. It's been a few months since that happened, but he still hasn't recovered. The cast also includes Eduardo Noriega , Alexandra Jiménez, Andrea Duro, and William Miller.

The natural humor, agile dialogue, and musical choreography make the experience similar to other Spanish film productions such as El otro lado de la cama , but with its own personality that relies on emotional chaos as a narrative engine.

Directed by Peris Romano, in 2015, Wednesdays Don't Exist is a film adaptation of a highly successful play that ran for over three years and was seen by nearly one hundred thousand spectators. With a fragmented structure and leaps in time, the story alternates between comedy and drama through endearing characters who face difficult decisions marked by love, betrayal, and second chances.
