The Vilagarcía de Arousa City Council has announced that it will cancel the Mägo de Oz concert scheduled for August 19th if it does not rectify the "frivolous" comments one of its members made during a performance in Asturias about drugs and prostitution, referring to political corruption and asking not to be robbed of "whores and cocaine."

As reported by Europa Press, the group performed in the town of Llanera in recent days, and its guitarist, Víctor de Andrés, not only insulted Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, but also referred to the plot involving Koldo García, José Luis Ábalos, and Santos Cerdán in the following way: "Stop stealing our cocaine and whores, especially."

Following these controversial remarks, the local government of Vilagarcía, a PSOE party, announced in a statement on Tuesday that it had contacted the band to request a public rectification and to warn them that the contracting process for the concert, under the negotiated, non-publicized format, "is not yet finalized."
