Who's bullfighting today, Sunday the 8th, at Las Ventas in Madrid for the San Isidro Fair: lineup, schedule, and where to watch for free on TV and online
Over the past few weeks, we've had an exhausting day that brought together some of the greatest figures in bullfighting at the Plaza Monumental de Las Ventas in Madrid. The luckiest of us witnessed a spectacle that brought more than one fan to their feet, while the bullfighting house was packed more than once. The celebrations offered a packed program that gave no respite in the quest to deliver the best bullfighting spectacle this San Isidro 2025.
We were able to witness firsthand 21 bullfights, 3 bullfights with picadors, and 2 bullfights with rejones. The event took place in Madrid's Las Ventas Monumental Plaza, which was a huge success last year. Not surprisingly, this is one of the most important bullfighting festivals in our country, which will continue until mid-June.
A total of 55 performers were present: 43 matadors, 5 rejoneadores (bullfighters on horseback), and 7 novilleros (bullfighters with picadors). In terms of livestock, 23 ranches were announced, representing a total of eight different breeds. According to the Union of Bullfighting Breeders, bullfighting cultural events contribute 140 million euros annually to the state in VAT. The San Isidro Fair represents approximately 70 million euros for the regional economy each season. And the truth is that there are increasingly more young audiences among those attending.
We've experienced memorable moments with accomplished, clever, and courageous bullfighters. And this Sunday, June 8th, at 7:00 PM , we'll have the Charity bullfight. Bulls from Juan Pedro Domecq for Morante de la Puebla, Fernando Adrián, and Borja Jiménez. It's a day that looks promising.
