Why Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Haven’t Started Wedding Planning—Yet

• Blanco told Jake Shane on Therapuss why they haven’t had time to think about their nuptials this year.
• The music producer also discussed how he plans to spend this summer with his fiancée.

Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez aren’t planning their wedding just yet, Blanco revealed during his appearance on Jake Shane’s podcast, Therapuss. But there’s a good reason why: their work schedules have been nonstop since their December engagement.

“That’s why we both need to chill,” Blanco explained. “We’ve both been working so much. We got engaged, and then we were filming music videos for our album [I Said I Love You First]... Then it’s holidays, then right after the holidays, we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that. Then she left to film her show Only Murders [in the Building] and then I met her, then we hung out for a week, and then right after that, it’s promo. And then I’m writing another book, so then I had to write a book, and then she came back for one day here. And then it was my birthday, and you know.... We’re both working on so many things that we hadn’t even had time to get into it, but we’re so excited. I think this summer we’re going to sit down and be like, ‘Okay, what are we doing, hun?’” The music producer said their wedding would but “chill” but “lit.” He did not share anything about its date.

He did, however, discuss how he just wants to relax with Gomez during his break. “I haven’t really had much time off in a while, and...I just want to lay in bed and forget what day it is because we’ve been in bed just watching stuff,” Blanco told Shane. He added he doesn’t usually like that “but with Selena, I can do it all day. She makes me want to hang out and cuddle, just watch things, just eat food, and have piles of food around us, and have the best time ever.”
