Actress Bárbara de Regil opened her heart to publicly share one of the most painful episodes of her life: she was a victim of sexual abuse as a child. The confession took place during the first episode of the reality show "Secretos de pareja," in which she participates alongside her husband, lawyer Fernando Schoenwald.
In this first episode of the program, the participants were asked to talk about a difficult experience related to their intimate lives. It was then that the star of Rosario Tijeras opened up about what she went through when she was just 12 years old.

“When I was 12, my mom was battling cancer, and I was living with my dad. He had problems with alcohol and a lot of other things. He didn't take responsibility for me the way he should have,” she said, emotionally.
The influencer also reported that she was sexually assaulted by one of the household employees, specifically the gardener. Although she avoided giving explicit details on camera, made it clear that she experienced abuse and vulnerability at a very early age.
“I was raped by my gardener,” she confessed, visibly upset.
Moved, she explained that she decided to make this experience public. with the aim of inspiring and supporting other women who may be going through something similar.
"I tell this to women to motivate them, and in case anyone is going through the situation I went through when I was 12, to see that there's a silver lining, that your life doesn't end there. It's not a grave, it's a rut, and you can get out of it with therapy and self-love."
