Zonda wind alert today in Mendoza: what areas will be affected and what will be the maximum wind speed?

The weather forecast indicates that Tuesday will be marked by rising temperatures in Mendoza , due to the Zonda winds in some areas of the province. The Cristo Redentor and Pehuenche Passes are open.

For its part, the Directorate of Agriculture and Climate Contingencies reported that the day is "partly cloudy, with rising temperatures." After a low of 7°C, the estimated high is 24°C.

The provincial government also indicated that Zonda winds are expected in some areas of the foothills . Snowfall is also expected in the Andes. The Cristo Redentor Pass is open to all types of vehicles 24 hours a day, and the southern Pehuenche Pass is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a yellow alert for Zonda wind for the south of the province, especially for Malargüe .

Meanwhile, Civil Defense and the Provincial Meteorological Surveillance Office also issued a yellow alert for Zonda winds in Mendoza.
