Citizen Income and VAT Refund 2025: Cycle 2 payments confirmed

From June 26 to July 13, 2025, the Department of Social Prosperity will carry out the second payment cycle for the Citizen Income and VAT Refund programs throughout the country. Payments will be made through the Agrarian Bank of Colombia and its authorized partners.

According to official information, more than 1.3 million households will benefit from this second cycle. The total investment exceeds $319 billion pesos:

1. 606,674 households will receive Citizen Income , with an investment of $245,734 million pesos.

2. 700,000 households will have access to the VAT Refund , with a budget of $74.095 billion pesos.

Payment will be made by account deposit or bank transfer, depending on the beneficiary's profile. In the case of bank transfers, they can be claimed at institutions such as SuperGIROS, Reval, Efecty, and SURED.

To check if you have a pending Citizen Income transfer through Banco Agrario, you must access the official site and verify its status in a simple manner:

- Visit the bank's website: www.bancoagrario.gov.co

Who can collect Citizen Income and what conditions must they meet?

To access these payments, families must meet certain co-responsibilities required by Social Prosperity, such as:

1. Be affiliated with the health system.

2. Have minors enrolled in official educational institutions.

These conditions ensure that resources reach the most vulnerable families who comply with the guidelines established by the State.

Furthermore, it's important to remember that payments are not automatic: beneficiaries must be registered and comply with the targeting and data verification filters applied by the entity.

Social Prosperity: How can I check if I was selected for this cycle?

Prosperidad Social reported that beneficiaries will be notified by text message or can check directly on the Banco Agrario website to find out if they will receive the subsidy in this round.

Banked households will receive direct payments into their accounts , while unbanked households can claim their money at authorized payment points by presenting their original ID.

It is essential not to miss the July 13 deadline , as the incentive cannot be claimed after that date. The Government reminded everyone that these payments do not accumulate or reschedule if they are not collected.
