Fomag settles accounts with the Santa Fe Foundation and activates a new health network for teachers.

The total balance of billing filed by the Santa Fe Foundation amounts to $33.883 billion, of which $15.910 billion has been paid to date.

The Teachers' Social Benefits Fund (FOMAG) reported that services for teachers and their families will continue through the established network of Service Provider Institutions (IPS) and that a new contract for the service provider network is being prepared to begin operating on August 1, after the current contract expires on July 31.

According to Fomag, the total balance of invoices filed by the Santa Fe Foundation amounts to $33.883 billion, of which $15.91 billion has been paid to date. The Fund's administration indicated that " accounting processes are underway for an approximate value of $12.179 billion ," which are being reviewed by the auditing firm.
He added that " a new payment of $6.188 billion has been proposed and will be made during the week " and that a space will be set up for the reconciliation of these comments.

The Santa Fe Foundation serves 1,422 patients of the total Fomag members, equivalent to 0.48% of the covered population; 64 are cancer patients. In Bogotá, the institution serves 1.5% of the city's 96,000 Fomag users . Based on these proportions, the Fund plans to reallocate care and maintain continuity of treatment at other IPSs in the network.

Regarding care after July 31, 2025, Fomag indicated that it " guarantees the continued continuity of treatment under the Prospective Global Payment (PGP) modality with other IPSs in the network ," a scheme approved by the Board of Directors during the previous term. The PGP concentrates advance funds for service groups and allows for scheduling care for patients already receiving active treatment.

The entity reiterated that "the provision of health services is duly guaranteed" through the IPSs that make up the authorized network, as an access mechanism for teachers and their beneficiaries. Fomag indicated that the network institutions will assume the continuity of care for users currently receiving services at the Santa Fe Foundation in accordance with current authorizations and defined referral processes.

The new contracting model for the service provision network will begin operating on August 1, 2025, and will serve more than 800,000 Fomag users under the parameters established in the agreements.

" Health care for teachers and their families is guaranteed through the IPS (Institutional Health Services) that make up the authorized network ," the organization reiterated. According to the statement, "the current contract will expire on July 31, and in that sense, Fomag is moving forward with the implementation of the new model" while developing financial reconciliation with the Santa Fe Foundation.
