The Mexican currency in the international markets opens this Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 19.54 pesos per dollar, which represents an appreciation of 0.42% or 8 cents compared to the previous day, according to information from Bloomberg.

In the overnight session, the exchange rate showed downward volatility.

The Mexican peso is now being boosted by the dollar's downward correction, keeping it resilient ahead of the Bank of Mexico's (Banxico) monetary policy meeting this Thursday.

In annual terms, inflation in the United States rose to 2.3%, up from 2.4%. This was during the first month that many of President Donald Trump's tariffs were in effect.
