Vacancies open for SITP drivers in Bogotá

This Wednesday, June 4th, the capital will host another employment event organized by the District Secretariat of Economic Development (SDDE) as part of the "Talent Capital" strategy, which has opened up new opportunities for people seeking to improve their employment situation.

On this occasion, 100 job openings will be made available for drivers and operators of minibuses and standard buses for the Bogotá Integrated Public Transportation System (SITP), through the TransMilenio operator SUMA.

The event will be held at the Conviventia headquarters, located at Carrera 8 #2-72 , from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Those interested in participating should bring an updated resume and ID.

This call is aimed at drivers with proven experience operating public passenger transport vehicles. According to district authorities, a valid C2 or C3 driver's license is required, along with at least six months of experience and at least basic primary education.

The selection process is carried out directly, without intermediaries or associated costs; therefore, the organization has reiterated its call to citizens to avoid offering payments to third parties and to report any attempted fraud related to this type of process.

The offer includes open-ended contracts with the operator SUMA, and the selected candidates' responsibilities include operating SITP buses safely, complying with traffic regulations and the company's operations manual. Drivers are also expected to provide clear route and bus stop directions to system users.

This action is part of the plan to strengthen public transportation services in Bogotá, which seeks to expand coverage and improve the quality of the system, while creating formal jobs in one of the sectors with the highest labor demand.

"Talento Capital" is an ongoing strategy of the District Secretariat of Economic Development that seeks to connect citizens with formal and decent employment opportunities.
