A 57-year-old man was seriously injured with multiple injuries on Sunday night when he was run over in Guía de Isora .
The incident occurred just after 9:30 p.m. when the Canary Islands Government 's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 received an alert reporting a pedestrian had been struck on the road between Chío and Arguayo.
Medical personnel from the local health center and the SUC assisted the victim, who was transported by medical ambulance to La Candelaria Hospital, while the Civil Guard conducted the necessary procedures.
