Air pollution linked to brain tumors

People who breathe more air pollution have a higher risk of developing a common non-cancerous brain tumor , according to a recent study.

Several different types of air pollutants, including particle pollution and nitrogen dioxide, appear to increase the risk of meningiomas , tumors that form in the layers of tissue covering the brain and spinal cord, researchers reported in the July 9 issue of the journal Neurology.
