Health alert: A well-known shampoo has been recalled from Colombia due to possible contamination that could affect consumers' health.

The National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance (Invima) recently issued a health alert related to the product Tec Italy Totale Shampoo, widely marketed for the treatment of dry and damaged hair, giving it shine.
Following microbiological analysis, the manufacturer reported to Invima the detection of possible contamination in several units of the product , which could cause health problems.
The identified product is a green, one-liter plastic bottle manufactured by Henkel Capital SA, which operates in Colombia.

Given this situation, the company decided to voluntarily recall all product presentations as a preventive measure. Although no adverse effects have been reported in users so far, Invima urges the public, beauty salons, retailers, and wholesalers to immediately suspend the use, distribution, and sale of the affected shampoo.
Health authorities also recommend that those who have purchased the product be alert to any abnormal reactions after use and report them through official Invima channels.

According to Invima, if you are using the aforementioned product, please take into account the following recommendations issued by the health authority:
- Stop using it immediately, as it may pose a risk to your health.
- If you know of establishments where this product is still distributed or marketed, please notify Invima or local health authorities without delay.
- If you have experienced any adverse reaction or unexpected event after application, please report it through the official Invima website so that it can be recorded and evaluated by the health authorities.

- Carry out inspection, surveillance and control (IVC) actions in establishments under its jurisdiction where there may be a possibility of use, storage, distribution or marketing of the Tec Italy Totale Shampoo product, the subject of the health alert.
- Verify the presence of the referenced product and, if found, proceed with the implementation of the corresponding sanitary measures in accordance with current regulations.
- Immediately report any findings related to the contaminated product to Invima to facilitate monitoring and control of the case nationwide.
- You are requested to refrain from distributing, selling, or marketing the altered batch of the identified product, as doing so could result in administrative sanctions and the imposition of sanitary measures by the competent authorities.
