Invima alert for known illegal sexual enhancer marketed in Colombia: these are the risks of consuming this supplement

Be wary of products sold as dietary supplements. Recently, the National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance (Invima) warned the public about the sale of a supposed sexual enhancer , as the product does not have a health registration and can cause adverse effects in those who consume it.
The agency issued the warning about the SCX-BULL MEN AND WOMEN product after receiving a complaint. "The aforementioned product does not correspond to any product authorized by the Directorate of Drugs and Biological Products of Invima," the Institute stated in a statement.

Furthermore, the dietary supplement does not have a health registration issued by the competent authorities. The marketing of this type of product, Invima clarified, is illegal in the country.
Internal investigations and verifications by Invima determined that SCX-BULL MEN AND WOMEN did not meet the specifications on its label and advertising, in accordance with current regulations. Therefore, the agency requests that Colombians refrain from purchasing and consuming the product.
Health risks of ingesting fraudulent products Invima (National Institute of Food and Drug Administration) reminded consumers that consuming these illegally marketed dietary supplements and medications poses a risk to their health. The risks include:
- Increased blood circulation, rapid heart rate, heart disease, nervousness, anxiety, and tremors.
- Problems with insomnia, nightmares and fatigue.
- Potential risk of fluid retention, local or generalized edema.
- Damage to organs such as the heart, kidneys, liver.

It's worth remembering that products without health registration offer consumers no guarantees of quality, safety, or efficiency.
Furthermore, there is no knowledge of its contents, composition, traceability, and actual storage and transportation conditions. Ultimately, it sells the public false expectations and illusions about a product in order to profit.
Preventive measures against illegality The Surveillance Institute urges Colombians not to purchase medications, herbal products, or dietary supplements that do not have a valid health registration. Users should be aware that many of these fraudulent products are marketed on websites, social media, and WhatsApp channels.
If you have consumed the product, you should follow these instructions:
- Stop using it immediately, due to the risks it may pose to your health.
- Immediately report to Invima or local health authorities any information you have about locations where this product is distributed or marketed.
- If you have experienced any adverse event associated with your consumption, report it immediately through the following link https://vigiflow-eforms.who-umc.org/co/medicamentos or through the email [email protected]
- Immediately inform Invima or local health authorities if, for any reason, you become aware of any locations where this product is distributed or marketed.
