Health risks
According to William Saza Londoño, coordinator of Pharmacovigilance at Invima, the consumption of products without sanitary registration represents a significant risk to health .
" These products do not guarantee minimum standards of quality, safety, or efficacy . Their consumption can cause serious adverse effects such as palpitations, insomnia, fluid retention, or damage to vital organs like the heart, kidneys, or liver," he explained.
The alert was generated after a citizen complaint, which Invima highlighted as a demonstration of the value of social oversight in the face of the presence of irregular products on the national market.
