Kate Moss designs a collection for Zara featuring summer essentials.

Kate Moss has been collaborating and starring in campaigns for Zara for several seasons, even occasionally alongside her daughter Lila Moss . Last November, she joined the creative team to launch a party collection, and this time she's doing so with festivals in mind.
The international model has once again teamed up with Inditex and British stylist Katy England to create a capsule collection called the 'Festival Collection'. The project features musician Bobby Gillespie (Glasgow, 62), her friend and frontman of the rock band Primal Scream, making the project the perfect summer evening.

The campaign was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott , two of the model's frequent collaborators. "Nothing beats the feeling of finding a unique piece," says Kate. To create the collection, the two revisited the model's archive and began selecting pieces to inspire their new collection. "It's simply incredible to wear that piece that only you have," explains Kate.

This collaboration has been a highly evolved process, as Kate Moss acknowledges. "Because it's spring/summer and festival season, I guess I was expecting it to be more about flowing dresses. But it's a bit more defined than that. Because there was also a masculine energy coming from Bobby, who was making his collection at the same time. It was noticeable, and I think we ended up going somewhere unexpected that I hadn't had in mind." Ultimately, that masculine energy influenced and ultimately unleashed something new in Kate and Katy. "When I saw Bobby's designs, I was so drawn to them that we decided to mix and match. It's Bobby and Kate for Zara," she acknowledged.
The supermodel has chosen some of her favorite pieces as the centerpieces of the collection. There's no shortage of bikinis, bralettes, vests, shorts, and lingerie . Also featured are flowing fabrics with printed or embroidered flowers, paired with knee-high boots, a look that's as festive as it is the model's signature. The collection will be available starting June 9th in select stores and online.
