A PRO deputy asked the Senate to include crimes such as abuse, rape, and corruption in the Clean Record.

PRO deputy Sabrina Ajmechet called for the Senate to approve the Clean Record law this week, asserting that it is not an electoral issue, but rather an essential measure to change the political culture . "It's not urgent in an election; it's essential so that someone with a double conviction doesn't have to hide behind a seat," she stated on Radio Rivadavia.
The bill has already received preliminary approval in the House of Representatives and will be considered by the Upper House this Wednesday. Although the vote count is still uncertain, Ajmechet said he is confident that "the senators will be up to the task." He also anticipated that once approved, he will push for changes to broaden its scope.
Ajmechet considered that, after approval, Congress should move forward with adding crimes such as abuse , rape , and other serious offenses. "I'm here to work on improving the bill, but this one has to be passed now. Let's start with the basics. Those who stole Argentines' money can't hide behind a bench," he emphasized.
He also warned against the political use of diploma control. He said Congress should not have a tool that allows expulsions by simple majority. "A circumstantial majority could remove someone just because they don't like their ideas. That's an institutional risk," he warned.
The congresswoman criticized opposition sectors for using the Libra case to damage the ruling party. "If there's a crime, the courts will determine it. There's nothing the legislature can do. The Chief of Staff has already arrived," she replied, "there was an interpellation. The courts will take care of it," she stated.
Finally, he denied that Javier Milei 's government is attacking press freedom. "If freedom of expression were at risk, it would be extremely serious. But I don't see it," he said. He concluded: "The way we get information has changed. Before, journalists had a monopoly. Today, that no longer happens."
