Another attack by Javier Milei against journalists: "They are the politicians' prostitutes."

President Javier Milei attacked journalists again this Thursday, claiming that they "are the politicians' prostitutes." In line with his most recurrent message in recent days, he reiterated that people "don't hate them enough." He did so on the program of one of his unofficial spokespersons, Daniel Parisini, to whom he made a knowing comment: "Who will we have to put in jail?"

"In reality, journalists have historically been the prostitutes of politicians. If you hate politicians, hate journalists even more , because they're the ones who actually get paid to do the work the politician doesn't do," he said during his appearance on the streaming show Carajo, hosted by Gordo Dan.

In fact, the pro-government panelist and other trolls launched a social media campaign asking Milei to jail a politician by decree . "Just like Alfonsín did," Parisini insisted in his campaign, in which he even targeted one journalist in particular, Gabriel Levinas. This Thursday, during his appearance on the streaming program, Milei made a sharp comment in that direction.

"Who will we have to put in jail?" he asked the table, with a certain irony.

Later in the conversation, but in the same vein, he asserted that, despite the attacks he allegedly receives, he only uses social media to respond. "I'm not going to throw the State at you, I'm not going to throw ARCA (the former AFIP) at you, but they resent being exposed," he added.

Similarly, he assessed that those who work in the media " expect you to be a beating and then cry asymmetry." He added: "The asymmetry is that they have media outlets 24/7, they're an army. And what do I have? My Twitter account. Those who cry asymmetry are so shitty, so puny, when all I do is answer from my Twitter account."

Prior to his analysis of Pope Francis —whom he described as a Mileíst—and the relationship he had with members of his government, Mileí called press workers " liars and slanderers " on more than one occasion and focused the first part of the talk on that topic.

Firm in his ideas, supported by his spokesperson, Manuel Adorni - also present in the studio -, the leader of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) stressed that " the guys used to have all the power " and considered that the situation changed "especially with what happened during the pandemic, in which everyone was complicit."

" The moment of supreme power they had was what buried them . During the pandemic, when we were locked down, Lilia (Lemoine) and I did Instagram Live, we started generating content and that allowed us to communicate without depending on these microphone hitmen ," he said.

In the same vein, the President rejected the accusations of being "undemocratic." "Didn't you try not lying?" he quipped, noting that he himself would later have to "build the evidence to prove that (the journalists) are lying."

" They're fiction writers ," the head of the Executive emphasized, asserting that "the higher you go up the pyramid, the more enemies you have." Then, without admitting to being part of that group, he insisted that " journalists are accomplices of politicians ."
