Guillermo Francos and Lisandro Catalán resigned: the President appointed Manuel Adorni as Chief of Staff

Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos submitted his resignation tonight and announced it with a post on social media while at the Quinta de Olivos President Javier Milei was sharing a dinner with former President Mauricio Macri.
Minutes later, the President's Office confirmed that Javier Milei had accepted his resignation and had appointed in his place the elected Buenos Aires deputy Manuel Adorni , until this Friday the spokesperson for the Presidency.
Mr. President of the Nation, In light of the persistent rumors regarding changes in the National Cabinet, I am writing to you to submit my resignation as Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, so that you may face the next stage of government without any constraints…

As if the impact of Francos' departure wasn't enough, minutes later Interior Minister Lisandro Catalán also announced his resignation from the government via social media, although he gave the date November 1st . Catalán, from Tucumán, had only taken office on September 15th, a mere month and a half earlier.
The string of resignations and announcements of replacements occurred within an hour and a half, while Milei and Macri were at the Quinta de Olivos, a meeting about which very few details emerged, to the point that the head of PRO left the presidential residence in his car without making statements to the press.
Mr. President of the Nation. I am writing to you to submit my resignation from the position of Minister of the Interior, which I have had the honor of holding under your leadership.
I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me to begin a period of dialogue and consensus.
In the text where Francos announced his resignation, the Chief of Staff indicated that "given the persistent rumors about changes in the National Cabinet" he was submitting his resignation to the President "so that he can face without conditions the stage of government that begins after the national elections of last October 26."
"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve our country and its government with loyalty and patriotism," the 75-year-old official added.
And, he pointed out that "by strange coincidence, my first act as Minister of the Interior and my last as Chief of Staff were to bring together the Governors of the Provinces with the National Executive Branch in order to find mechanisms for dialogue and consensus building, essential to advance the structural reforms that Argentina needs."
"It has been an honor for me to be part of a transformative project that aims to guide our country on a path of freedom and progress. Know that, as always, you can count on me," Francos remarked.
The experienced political leader wished Mieli "the greatest success" in his farewell letter.
In response, the President's Office issued a statement thanking him for his performance and highlighting him as a "fundamental piece in the first stage of the Government".
Minutes before 10 p.m., as rumors and messages on social media continued to swirl, the Casa Rosada confirmed that Javier Lanari, a journalist from Misiones and current Undersecretary of Communication, will assume the duties of Manuel Adorni, his direct superior until this Friday.
