Leandro Santoro closed his campaign in the City with criticism of the PRO and a call to vote.

Leandro Santoro closed his campaign in the City with criticism of the PRO and a call to vote.

Leandro Santoroclosed his campaign this Thursday at the Faculty of Medicine with a direct message to voters: " We are so close ," he said before a crowd that filled the main auditorium. From the stage, the Es Ahora Buenos Aires candidate urged people to go out and vote this Sunday, in response to the low turnout recorded in provinces such as Salta, Jujuy, Chaco, and San Luis. He warned that the PRO (Project for the Nationalist Party) and La Libertad Avanza (La Libertad Avanza) could benefit if the electorate does not mobilize.

“The problem is that everyone is so disgusted and angry that they stay home,” he said. “But I'm asking you to give me a hand, because we're close to building a significant minority to put a stop to the neglect and cruelty.”

"Now is the time to fight for what's ours, now is the time to go out and win the City of Buenos Aires." Leandro Santoro's call to all sectors, to all who believe in a better society. #EsAhoraSantoro pic.twitter.com/fwrPNUVpFh

Accompanied by Claudia Negri, vice dean of the Faculty and second on his list, Santoro reaffirmed his defense of the public university and harshly criticized Javier Milei 's campaign. He recalled that his campaign had a clear message against austerity and the destruction of the state. " We want a model of democratic coexistence ," he said, maintaining that his campaign represents "a vision of social justice that can heal wounds."

The candidate was also critical of the Buenos Aires ruling party. "Management in the city is so poor that the governing coalition broke up before the elections," he stated in an interview. He noted that the elections are an opportunity to send a clear message against what he defined as a business-based management model.

In the midst of a nationalized campaign, Leandro Santoro leads the polls against a fragmented opposition. The PRO party is divided between Silvia Lospennato and a segment of the Macri faction, while Manuel Adorni is competing for La Libertad Avanza. The candidate believes that a victory in the city would be the first step toward rebuilding Peronism , following the poor results in last weekend's provincial elections.

“Let's go vote. Vote for whoever you want, but let's go vote. We have to mobilize and be there,” he urged, appealing to voting as a tool to “ strengthen democracy .”

Santoro also presented his book "El Maxikio$co," which exposes alleged ties between the Buenos Aires government and supplier companies. He announced that, if he wins, his bloc will promote an investigative commission to review contracts and bidding processes . "With us, business is over," he stated.
