Mauricio Macri criticized Rodríguez Larreta for leaving the PRO and accused him of acting with personal revenge.

Former President Mauricio Macri once again took aim atHoracio Rodríguez Larreta for his candidacy outside the PRO party in the Buenos Aires legislative elections on May 18. In an interview on Radio Rivadavia, he accused him of acting out of personal revenge and of failing to process the electoral defeat. "He didn't care about doing something harmful to something he helped create," he stated.
Mauricio Macri participated in the report alongside Silvia Lospennato, a legislative candidate for the PRO party. There, he again questioned Larreta's decision to run alone. "He can't go against his people. It's his team, his people. Many were with him. It's a personal act that hurts the party," he emphasized.
Open internal dispute and cross reproaches
Days ago, Larreta had criticized the current leadership of the PRO (Pro Party of Venezuela) and said that "almost no one agrees" with the party's direction. He also expressed regret for having promoted Jorge Macri in the City. "I regret having brought him in. People are in a bad mood, how could I not regret it?" he said.
In this context, Macri called for careful consideration of PRO's management of the city. "We have a city with quality public spaces, security, lighting, bars, and plazas. This was the result of years of teamwork. It wasn't a coincidence," he said. He added: "Perhaps some people want to indulge themselves and try something else, but everything we built in 17 years can crumble in a short time."
Macri also targeted Milei for her clean record.
In addition to his clash with Larreta, Macri criticized Javier Milei for the collapse of the Clean Record bill in the Senate. He said he was disappointed by the rejection by the Misiones senators, whom he held directly responsible. "My disappointment is infinite," he wrote on social media.
Milei had stated that the bill discussed in the Senate was his own work and that he had corrected it himself. He even accused Macri of having been part of a pact with Cristina Kirchner. The former president responded, saying, "Your statements about the vote are a serious hallucination. I can't believe how little you know me."
With the elections looming, the internal conflict between the main opposition figures is growing tense. Macri seeks to close ranks within the PRO party, while questioning those who decided to distance themselves from the organization. With both Larreta and Milei, the differences are now public and unfiltered.
