With a two-line message, the wife of Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, María Claudia Tarazona , addressed the first month of the attack against the presidential candidate on Monday, July 7.
" It's been a month. Thank you God, help me more," Tarazona wrote on her Instagram profile. She accompanied the short message with a photo of the 39-year-old senator and his young son.
The attack on Senator Uribe occurred on Saturday, June 7, in the Modelia neighborhood, west of Bogotá. A 15-year-old hitman—who was arrested that day—shot him with a 9-millimeter Glock pistol. He was hit by two bullets in the head and leg.
The neurological prognosis remains reserved. Senator Uribe is fighting for his life at the Santa Fe Foundation clinic in Bogotá. Since arriving at the medical center, he has undergone seven surgeries, but his condition remains extremely serious and his neurological prognosis is reserved.

During this month, in addition to the young hitman, four more people have been captured: Katerine Andrea Martínez alias 'Gabriela', Carlos Eduardo Mora González alias 'El Veneco', William Fernando González Cruz alias 'El Viejo' and Elder José Arteaga alias 'El Costeño'.
Alias "El Costeño" was allegedly the organizer and coordinator of the attack. This Sunday, July 6, he was sent to prison by a judge while the investigation continues, despite his refusal to accept the charges brought against him by the Prosecutor's Office.
