Three Campora members were summoned for questioning in connection with the attack on the TN building.

Three Campora members were summoned for questioning in connection with the attack on the TN building.

In the last few hours, the Buenos Aires City courts notified three La Cámpora militants of their summons for questioning for their involvement in the attacks on TN in mid-June, just after Cristina Kirchner's sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court. The three will be questioned next Monday morning. The news comes just hours after Patricia Bullrich requested the case be transferred to federal court due to the lack of arrests.

José Lepere, Pablo Giles and Matías Federici , all members of La Cámpora and holding various positions in the State during the Kirchner administrations.

"Tato" Giles was Undersecretary of Municipal Relations during Alberto Fernández's administration, accompanied by Wado de Pedro at the Interior Ministry. More significant in the administration was José Lepere, the other La Cámpora leader who participated in the attacks on TN and who served as Secretary of the Interior for four years, a sort of second-in-command to De Pedro.

Federici, for his part, is currently Director of the Penitentiary Statistics Directorate in the Province.

On Thursday night, Security Minister Patricia Bullrich had emphatically demanded that the case of the attack on the TN facilities be filed with federal jurisdiction.

"This is a federal case because it involves a media outlet. There's no connection between what happened and the status of that investigation. In this case, they're not paying for it," the Security Minister said on A24. She also claimed that people were identified by the cameras, but no one was arrested.

The attack on the Artear building (from which TN and Eltrece broadcast) occurred on Tuesday night, June 10, hours after the Supreme Court upheld the sentence imposed by the Court of Cassation for Cristina Kirchner in the Highways case. Although around 70 people entered TN's offices, the investigation was determining responsibility and narrowing down the list of those involved.

Who are the identified people cited by the Justice?

The first to be identified was Alberto Enrique Alejandro Grasso Rivaldi (34), who was detained in the early hours of the morning at the intersection of Carlos Calvo and San José, drinking beer and chatting with other activists, shortly after causing the damage to the canal. He was later released.

Hours later that same Wednesday, one of the main suspects, Lepere, was identified. A 49-year-old native of Longchamps, he was Wado de Pedro's deputy minister during Alberto Fernández's administration. He served as Secretary of the Interior and was always active in the Camporista party in Almirante Brown. In that southern Buenos Aires province, he chaired the Frente para la Victoria council bloc from 2015 to 2019, as a collaborator during the Macri administration.

In 2019, he was the Frente de Todos candidate for provincial senator for the Third Electoral Section, the same section in which Cristina Kirchner effectively sought to run for provincial deputy until she was disqualified by the Supreme Court's ratification. Another nugget: Lepere was an advisor to the deputy and former national director of Immigration, Florencia Carignano. On Wednesday, it was Carignano who made headlines , though not on the street like her former advisor, but in the Chamber of Deputies.

At that time, along with Lepere, Rubén Ezequiel Pavón, Matías Federici and Facundo Lococo were identified.

Early last week, on Monday, June 23, the court identified another of the attackers, Giles. A longtime Camporista activist, he hails from Merlo and reports directly to De Pedro within the organization, although he also maintains ties to Máximo Kirchner. On the Camporista map, he appears as the organization secretary.

Giles, 40, held significant positions as a national official throughout Alberto Fernández's administration: he held hundreds of meetings with various political leaders, always serving as part of "Wado's" inner circle.

The same election also identified Matías Sebastián Federici, whom Juan Martín Mena (Cristina Kirchner's main judicial official and current Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the Province) appointed as Director of Penitentiary Statistics for Buenos Aires.

Although not in penitentiary matters, Federici did have experience in state affairs: from Lenovo, the technology company where he worked in the mid-1990s, he made the leap to the national Chamber of Deputies, then to the provincial Chamber of Deputies, and then to the State Property Administration. From there, with Mena's approval, he joined the Buenos Aires Ministry of Justice.

For now, on Monday morning, he will have to explain to the court why he invaded and destroyed non-state property (TN facilities) along with other militants in the town, including Lepere and Giles.
