Call of Duty launches Season 4 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone with new alliances and themed events
Activision announced the launch of Season 4 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, available starting May 29 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
This new phase introduces significant transformations to the game, such as the evolution of the Verdansk map, an unexpected alliance between the characters Adler and Stitch, and a themed event based on the John Wick film Ballerina.
New maps and modes in multiplayer Season 4 adds five new multiplayer maps that will be available in stages:
- Shutdown: Fighting at a hydroelectric plant in Iceland.
- Fugitive: Infiltration of a Secret CIA Prison.
- Blitz: Clashes in mountainous terrain with a tactical bridge.
- Eclipse: An underground nightclub becomes a combat zone.
- Fringe: A reimagined version of a classic map set in a distillery.
Game modes include "Team Elimination," a limited-life variant; "One in the Chamber," where each player has a single bullet; and "Group Ops," which introduces random minigames mid-season.
New weapons and customization Players will have access to five new weapons, starting with the LC10 submachine gun and the FFAR 1 assault rifle. Later, the Essex Model 07 tactical rifle, the Olympia special weapon, and the Pickaxe melee tool will be added. New attachments are also being added to customize your combat style.
Zombies mode intensifies with Grief and new challenges Zombies mode revives the Grief competitive mode, in which two 4v4 teams compete for survival while interfering with each other. Mechanics such as tactical penalties, capture zones that apply debuffs, and periodic respawns are introduced.
Other highlights include:
- Dark Ops Challenges: Hidden Objectives with exclusive rewards.
- Starting Room: Inspired by the Moon map, with no escape route.
- Abomination Challenge: Advanced version of the boss in Liberty Falls.
- New upgrades like the Angel of Death launcher, special ammo, and additional GobbleGums.
In Warzone, the Verdansk map has been updated with the introduction of the Lookout, a skyscraper under construction replacing the old SKN Tower in Downtown. Additionally, areas like Burger Town have been demolished to create new combat routes.
- Clash (52v52 without circle collapse).
- Qualifying Match (with qualification up to the Top 250).
- Chaos Royale (with rules that change in each circle).
- Casual Resurgence, designed for new players or less competitive games.
Also coming are gameplay improvements like the Hand Cannon, the Search and Destroy contract, the Door Lock upgrade, and new streaks and tactical perks.
Themed events and collaboration with Ballerina The season features special events with limited content:
- Ballerina (June 5-12): Unlock the Essex Model 07 rifle and themed skins inspired by the film.
- Rivals (June 12-26): Adler and Stitch mission with exclusive rewards.
- King of the Dead (June 26 to July 3): Zombie-killing competition.
- Master of Grief (July 10-17): Essence accumulation in Grief mode.
Additionally, the Ballerina Tracer Pack includes custom weapons and character skins like Eve Macarro.
