KRÜ and World launch partnership to combat bots in eSports with humanity verification technology

KRÜ and World launch partnership to combat bots in eSports with humanity verification technology
Amid growing concerns about the proliferation of bots in online gaming, KRÜ Esports and World have announced a strategic partnership that introduces a humanity verification system to the eSports community.
The collaboration follows a survey revealing that 98% of gamers in Latin America have played against bots, and more than 70% believe they negatively impact the gaming experience.
According to a survey conducted by World of 50,000 people in Latin America, 8 out of 10 players want to know if they're competing against other humans. Furthermore, 60% say bots facilitate cheating, and 6 out of 10 believe they provide unfair advantages. In Argentina, 90% of respondents say they have encountered bots and express deep concern about their proliferation.
As a solution, World and KRÜ will integrate World ID technology into the KRÜ Discord community. This tool allows users to anonymously verify that they are real, unique humans without revealing their identity. Verified members will have exclusive access to competitions, dedicated channels, and perks in the KRÜshop. The move aims to foster a fairer and more trustworthy environment where interactions and matches are authentic.
The partnership not only incorporates World ID as its core technology, but also establishes World as an official sponsor of KRÜ, with a presence on its website, social media, and team jerseys. With this collaboration, both organizations seek to set a new standard in the gaming industry, where human verification is key to ensuring transparency and fair play.
KRÜ Esports was founded by Sergio “Kun” Agüero with the support of Lionel Messi and has professional teams in Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Visa KRÜ Blaze, and OXÜ Academy. The organization has a presence in Argentina, Los Angeles, and Barcelona and promotes the comprehensive development of its members.
For its part, World is a project founded by Sam Altman, Alex Blania, and Max Novendstern, aimed at building a global network of private and secure digital identities, with the goal of promoting financial inclusion and human progress.
