2025 Tour de France: schedule, route, profile, and where to watch stage 20 on TV and online.

2025 Tour de France: schedule, route, profile, and where to watch stage 20 on TV and online.

The 2025 Tour de France enters its final stretch with Stage 20 , a decisive stage between Nantua and Pontarlier that promises thrilling action. With just two stages remaining, Slovenian Tadej Pogacar holds the lead in the general classification , closely followed by Dane Jonas Vingegaard, with Germany's Florian Lipowitz in third.

Stage 19 went to Thymen Arensman, who narrowly prevailed on a day of intense competition. The result left the overall standings unchanged at the top of the standings, but demonstrated the strong form of the main favorites. With everything still to be decided, the riders face a highly tactical stage where breakaway attempts could play a decisive role.

What is stage 20 like?

The twentieth stage of the Tour will cover a total of 184.2 kilometers between Nantua and Pontarlier, crossing the Jura and Doubs regions. It's a leg-breaking stage , sandwiched between the Alpine stages and the final circuit through Paris, with constant climbs and descents that could benefit breakaway riders more than the main peloton.

The route includes four climbs and begins with the Col de la Croix de la Serra (Category 3) immediately after the start. The final 70 kilometers feature climbs to Thésy (Category 2) and the Côte de Longeville (Category 4, 2,500 meters at 5.5%), along with a final non-contested climb just 9 kilometers from the finish. The organizers have decided to adjust the schedule to facilitate logistical transport to Paris, which will result in an earlier finish than usual.
