Amorim: "If the board and the fans think I'm not the right man, I'll leave without discussion or compensation."

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has offered to leave the club without a severance pay if the board and fans so desire.
"If the board and the fans believe I'm not the right man, I'll leave without discussion and without compensation," Amorim said after the match. "But I'm not going to resign. I trust in my work," he continued.
The Portuguese coach lost the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday and has had a terrible few months with United, who are sixteenth in the Premier League and will not play in Europe next year.
"I'm not here to defend myself right now. That's not my style. I have nothing to give the fans, but what I'm asking for is a little bit of faith," he said.
Amorim , who arrived as a replacement for Erik Ten Hag , has only managed nine points in the Premier League since November, lost both the FA Cup and the League Cup and had a lot at stake in this Europa League loss against Tottenham.
United's absence from next season's Champions League or any European competition will have an impact of at least £100 million on their already strained financial accounts.
They have accumulated losses over the past five years, and according to the club, had they not implemented a cutback policy in the last year, they would have gone bankrupt by the end of 2025.
GARNACHO DOUBTS NEXT SEASONAlejandro Garnacho , the team's striker, left the door open to a possible exit this summer after losing the Europa League.
"Obviously, this is very hard for everyone," said the Argentine in the post-match mixed zone at San Mamés. "Our season has been a piece of shit. We haven't beaten anyone in the league. We've been lacking in many ways," he added, describing their horrific season, losing every title and missing out on European competition next season.
On an individual level, Garnacho was not at all happy with his performance in the final, where he started on the bench in favor of Mason Mount and did not come on until the final stretch of the match.
"Until we reached the final, I played in every round. And today I played twenty minutes. I don't know, I'm going to enjoy the summer and we'll see what happens next," he concluded.
Garnacho has a contract with United until 2028, but he was already on the way out last winter, when his club was not averse to letting him go, as they are looking to earn between 50 and 60 million pounds for him. Considering him as a youth player for financial fair play, this would be a significant relief for the club's accounts.
