Canaco celebrates with 800 athletes

Abraham Aquiahuátl Vázquez, in the submaster category, was the winner of the Canaco-Grupo Orve 5-kilometer race, in an athletic competition held with the start and finish at Las Américas Park, which brought together some 800 runners and walkers.

In the freestyle category, Valeria Hurtado won the women's division with a time of 19.58 minutes, followed by Fanny Tenorio Murillo and Geizi Tec Pech, and in the men's division, Axel Gutiérrez Meza took first place with a time of 19.03 minutes, followed by Alan Garza Ibarra and Armando Chan Teh.

In the masters category, Addy Zepeda, with 21.37 minutes, beat Jimena Ruiz and Grisele Morales, and in the men's category, Casimiro Campos, with 20.28 minutes, left Héctor González and Pedro Pérez behind.

Aquiahuatl Vázquez, who clocked 17.49 minutes, was followed by Abraham Mendoza and Cruz Morales, and in the women's event, Elena Rodríguez won with 21.08 minutes, ahead of Rosalba Mex Mex and Arely Marrufo Ortiz, according to the official results.
