Drastic measures by CD Azuqueca to avoid violent acts in the matches of its youth football teams

Violence has become a scourge in the lower categories of Spanish football, where every weekend there are repeated regrettable episodes of physical and verbal aggression. Incidents that end up being punished by the committees of the different territorial federations and that are also pursued, in most cases, by the clubs themselves, such as CD Azuqueca. In an exemplary decision, this team has announced a drastic measure after the events that occurred over the last few days in its stadium, where last weekend the match of its Juvenil C had to be suspended due to the throwing of objects. An event that was added to the event that occurred three weeks earlier during the national youth category duel between the team from the Guadalajara entity and Alameda de la Sagra.
In an attempt to put an end to this type of behaviour and in anticipation of possible sanctions from the federation , Club Deportivo Azuqueca has taken the initiative to have its youth football teams' matches for the next two days played behind closed doors . A measure announced by the entity through a statement released through its media in which it "strongly denounces this type of behaviour that does not conform at all to the values of sport and which we as the club have expressed on previous occasions."
Fed up with having to suffer the consequences of violent incidents by its own fans, CD Azuqueca explains that "this unilateral decision" by the board has been taken "without any kind of sanction by the Federation, so if there is any sanction by the federation, it would be added to the one adopted by the club."
The fact that the matches of its youth football teams will be played behind closed doors for the next two weeks is not the only measure taken by the leaders of this club, whose senior team plays in the Castilian-Manchegan group of the Third Federation. The board has also decided to act against the fans involved in the violent events that occurred three weeks ago in the national youth category match played between Azuqueca and Alameda de la Sagra. "The events have resulted in the expulsion of 5 members and the denial of access to 20 people, each and every one of them identified thanks to the videos and the collaboration of citizens," says the entity.
