Federal A Tournament: the Mendoza team already knows their roadmap

The draw for the AFA Federal A Tournament fixture was held, where three Mendoza teams will compete: Gutiérrez, Huracán Las Heras, and San Martín.

The Federal Council of the Argentine Football Association confirmed this Wednesday the fixture for the three teams from our province that will be present in the Federal A Tournament, the third category of local football. While Huracán and San Martín debut as visitors, Gutiérrez will have a free date and will have to wait one more week.

The arrangement of the matches for the 2025 season was released a week after the formation of the zones and the regulations valid for the entire year , at a meeting held in Buenos Aires that was attended by directors of the participating institutions. There, the draw of the balls was held, which determined the path to be followed by each team.

It should be noted that the First Phase is a two-round series, so there will be a total of 18 days of competition , with 2 free dates. It will end on July 13, and then begin with the Championship and Revalidation Zones a week later. In total, there will be two promotions to the Primera Nacional, and four relegations to the Regional Federal.

Chacarero, one of the teams with the most history among those that will compete in the Federal A, wants to recover the glory of better times, and has put together a squad thinking of fighting at the top . But, due to the fixture, the reunion of the people with their new players will have to wait until the second matchday . After the debut in Río Cuarto against Atenas, they will receive Costa Brava de La Pampa. Meanwhile, they will have a free matchday on the fifth matchday.

Of the Mendoza team, it is the one that has been playing in the category for the longest time . El Globo has become accustomed to being a protagonist and wants to go for more. The team and the coaching staff know that they have a strong home field, and they will try to make it respected from matchday 2 , when they receive Estudiantes de San Luis at the General San Martín. Previously, there will be the debut against Ciudad de Bolívar, the longest and most complicated trip of all. They will have a free date on matchday 9.

The Celeste returned to the third tier of Argentine soccer in 2024, and surprised everyone with an excellent performance. After comings and goings in the assembly of its squad and its institutional reality , it seeks calm to be able to repeat what it has done.
