After a goal from Lagger (6) they stayed ahead for the first ten minutes (19-17). In the first half of the second quarter, the process was very even (27-27) thanks to points from Marchiaro (6) for Globo and from Osores and Walter (4 each) for León from Tucumán. A triple from Gallo (36-29) gave the visitors the maximum advantage in the first half , an advantage that they would have going into the long break (38-31). In the third quarter, León continued its fire , and a 4-0 early run pushed the lead to eleven points (42-31). Globo reacted quickly, going on a 9-0 run (with 4 from Irrutia) to get within two after five minutes (42-40). The quarter ended with a series of Lasherina bombs. Five in a row ( two from Lagger, two from Marini, and one from Mendez ) allowed Huracán to take the lead ( 55-54 ) heading into the final quarter, which was neck-and-neck for the entire ten minutes. Nuñez (6) and Lagger (5) on one side, Kusnier (5), Osores, and Walter (4 each) on the other were the protagonists of the first half of the quarter (67-66 for the visitors).
