Idols of the Future: Football opens a door to the old continent

Women's football is dressed up to receive a high-performance event that will boost the growth of the discipline. It will have the modality of "Pilares real estate", where Diario Los Andes and Broda will make a cooperation alliance. It is about Idols of the future , which through specialized training, offers the opportunity to reach the old continent.

This Wednesday, February 27th, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Gimnasia de Mendoza grounds in the Las Heras department (in front of the airport entrance), a transformation day will take place for many young players who dream of having a professional career in soccer. Because talent opens doors, but discipline and values ​​are what really take any elite athlete far.

It will be a kind of “Draft” between federated and non-federated female soccer players from all over the province, in which, in addition to measuring and evaluating physical, technical and competitive abilities, soccer matches will be held between the 90 participants.

It is a completely free event and the participating players will receive a personal and non-transferable invitation from the organizers . Throughout the day, each athlete will receive hydration and food. As a bonus, they will enjoy a talk with a special surprise guest during the two-hour break. In addition, they will receive an official t-shirt that will be part of the training uniform for the day, and will remain as a souvenir of this unique experience.

At the end of the day, five players will be selected to access a full scholarship to train and improve at a Women's Football Academy in Spain . Without a doubt, the purpose of this meeting (in addition to the benefit of the scholarships ) is to make women's football in the province of Mendoza visible, its potential and also its needs so that it can be more competitive and disseminated.

This sports project called Idols of the Future will become an annual platform for the detection and development of talents in women's soccer , with the possibility of expanding to other sports and continuing to support and encourage the growth of women's sport in the province and the country.

The main objective of the project is to provide the five best female soccer players from Mendoza with the opportunity to live a unique high-performance training experience, lasting 2 weeks in Granada, Spain. Through this scholarship, they will be able to travel with all expenses covered, including round-trip tickets, food and accommodation. There they will train and improve alongside top-level specialists, facing new challenges and getting one step closer to their dream of playing at the highest level.

-The main activities will be physical, cognitive and technical evaluations with specialists in high-performance sports . Evaluation matches will be held on natural and synthetic grass fields.
