Once Caldas, without breaking a sweat, advanced to the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana: they showed no mercy and pulverized San Antonio in Manizales.
Once Caldas made a strong showing at the Palogrande Stadium in Manizales, completing the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana play-offs and advancing to the round of 16 without a hitch. Coach Hernán Darío Herrera's team defeated San Antonio Bulo Bulo of Bolivia 4-0, securing their qualification after a 3-0 defeat in the first leg.
The Blanco Blanco didn't play with the result of the first leg in mind; they displayed serious, at times attractive and efficient football. San Antonio Bulo Bulo was never able to put the home team under pressure and left Colombia empty-handed.

Hernán Darío didn't go out and speculate after the 3-0 defeat in the first leg; he sent out his best available players, and his team crushed any hopes at dawn. Once Caldas started like a steamroller, moving the ball from one side to the other and forcing San Antonio into the box. The goal was imminent.
The goal wasn't long in coming. Juan Pablo García raced down the left flank and launched a cross from the byline. The opposing goalkeeper flicked it on, but left the ball too short for Michael Barrios to head in and open the scoring in the seventh minute of the first half.
It was the goal that gave peace of mind . Once Caldas showed they had the machine well-oiled and quickly converted their second of the night in Manizales. Barrios received a great change of front, lifted his head, and saw Mateo Zuleta, to whom he sent a measured cross for him to tap in and score the 2-0 partial in the 11th minute.

Once Caldas wanted more. The team continued to dominate the game and threatened Luca Giossa 's goal. The team's shared goal was for Dayro Moreno to score his own goal and surpass Sergio Galván Rey 's record as the club's top scorer in international tournaments.
The first half ended with a partial victory at the Palogrande without any problems. San Antonio never posed any real threat to James Aguirre 's goal, who played through physical discomfort due to a pain in his left leg.
San Antonio tried to create danger in the second half, but Once Caldas' defense was solid, and the third goal seemed to arrive quickly. However, the home team wasted numerous counterattacks, failed to finish the ones they had, and were often inaccurate when looking for Dayro's goal.

The game entered a slump, and the Blanco Blanco repeatedly attempted shots from mid-range, but without much accuracy. Dayro began to despair, seeing that his goal wasn't coming; his two clearest shots were saved by the opposing goalkeeper, who stifled his celebration.
Just when it seemed like it was going to end like this, Once Caldas decided they could attack as a team. Luis Palacios set up Luis Felipe Gómez , who unleashed a powerful shot that proved unstoppable, making it 3-0. There was uncertainty, as the linesman raised his flag for an offside during the play, but after a VAR review, the goal was recognized.
And Once Caldas sealed their qualification with another stunning goal. Dayro, tired of running for his goal, set up Déiner Quiñones, who hooked his left foot and curled the ball in from the corner to make it 4-0.
