Oscar Piastri took victory in the Miami Grand Prix in another successful day for McLaren, capped by Lando Norris' second place. George Russell completed the podium in a race without major incidents , in which Sainz finished ninth and Alonso 15th.
The start left some notable details. The first: Verstappen went wide at the corner, but was able to salvage his lead in the standings . Norris, however, wasn't as lucky and lost several positions.
Doohan was stuck in the middle of the track and a virtual safety car appeared, which ultimately remained just that. At that point, the garages warned that there was a possibility of rain appearing within 15 minutes .
After the first ten laps, the closest battle of the race unfolded . Verstappen fought his best to defend himself against Piastri, who had regained second place . Eventually, the Australian took advantage of the DRS to take the lead.

Verstappen's problems, however, weren't over. The Dutchman suddenly saw the second McLaren closing in on him. Norris, determined to complete a superb day for his team , attacked him and moved into second place. The two, however, came close to touching.
Piastri was the big winner, gaining a seven-second advantage over both drivers . Norris's overtake, however, was of no use as race control forced him to give the position back to Verstappen ... until he legally took the spot two laps later.

Sainz, meanwhile, had started sixth and was holding onto seventh , with the Ferrari drivers pushing hard from behind. Both drivers eventually overtook, and the Madrid native had to defend his ninth place against Tsunoda . The Aston Martins were last in the standings.
The final laps saw a formidable battle between Russell and Verstappen for the podium . But in a fierce competition, the Mercedes ultimately emerged victorious... because the McLarens were uncatchable.
