Saraperos falls to Caliente and the series will be decided in the third game.

In the second game of the series between Saraperos de Saltillo and Caliente de Durango , the home team managed to tie the game by winning 9-5 at Francisco Villa Stadium, after a day marked by defensive errors and key hits.
Saltillo came into the game with the lead after winning the first game 13-8. This time, the game began with Felix Doubront starting for Caliente and Brandon Villarreal leading off for Nave Verde , who reached base on a walk. Missael Rivera also reached base, but the team was unable to generate any runs in the first inning.
Kurt Heyer started for the Saraperos , holding the home team scoreless through the first four innings. Saltillo broke the deadlock in the fourth inning with a sacrifice bunt by Carlos Martínez that allowed Cristian Santana to score the first run (1-0).

In the top of the fifth, Missael Rivera hit a solo home run (2-0), and minutes later, newcomer Cristian Santana contributed with his first home run as a Sarapero , increasing the lead to 3-0.
However, in the bottom of that same inning, Durango reacted. Alejandro Urías scored after a fielding error, and later Drew Lugbauer hit a home run that drove in José Gaitán and David Hensley , making the score 3-4 in favor of Caliente . Heyer was relieved by Braulio Torres-Pérez , who managed to close the inning without further damage.
In the bottom of the sixth, Edwar Colina took the mound, but was quickly punished. David Hensley hit a home run that drove in Gaitán and Izturis Jr. , extending the lead to 7-3.
Saltillo tried to respond in the seventh inning. Missael Rivera scored on a defensive error, and Fabricio Macías later added another run after another defensive error by Durango (5-7). However, in the bottom of the eighth, Caliente sealed the victory with two more runs.
In the ninth inning, the Saltillo offense was unable to generate a reaction, leaving the series tied 1-1.
The third and final match will be played this Thursday at 7:35 p.m. at the same venue, with both teams looking to win the series.
