Saraperos wake up in Durango and take the first game of the series against Caliente

In a game that featured multiple moves from the mound and several debuts, the Saraperos de Saltillo took the first game of the series against Caliente de Durango by a score of 13-8 at Francisco Villa Stadium.
The Saltillo team opened the scoring in the first inning with a home run by Missael Rivera that drove in two runs, including one by Brandon Villarreal . Cristian Santana , who joined the team the same day of the game, had an effective debut with a single in his first appearance at bat.

Durango responded in the bottom of the second inning with a home run by Manny García in his debut, making the score 4-1.
Saltillo extended its lead in the third inning with a Carlos Martínez single that drove in Renato Núñez (5-1). However, Caliente responded in the bottom of the same inning. Manny García drove in two runs with a double and then crossed the plate alongside Manuel Boscan , taking advantage of errors by reliever Yasin Chentouf to tie the score at 5-5.
Saltillo 's comeback came in the fifth inning. Fabricio Macías drove in a run with a single and then scored another, giving Nave Verde (7-5) the lead again.
In the sixth, Santana walked and Villarreal took advantage to score the eighth run. Then, a sacrifice fly by Bobby Bradley allowed José Peraza to add another run (9-5).
Australian Lewis Thorpe made his debut on the mound for Saltillo in the sixth inning and retired the opponent with authority, striking out four and preventing Durango from taking advantage of his at-bats.
José Peraza produced another run in the top of the seventh with a single that allowed Villarreal to score the tenth run (10-5). In the bottom half, Drew Lugbauer hit a home run that brought in two more runs for Caliente , bringing the score to 10-8.
Saltillo responded in the eighth with a Bobby Bradley home run that also drove in Christian Morales (12-8). In the ninth, a sacrifice fly by Alex Mejía allowed Emmanuel Ávila to score the final run of the game.
Caliente de Durango failed to respond in their final opportunity, and the game ended with a 13-8 victory for the Saraperos de Saltillo , taking the lead in the series as visitors.
