Stage 17 of the Tour de France today: route, profile, schedule, and where to watch online and on TV

The Tour de France is in its 112th edition , and the race finish will return to Paris after its absence in the 2024 edition. From July 5th to 27th, we'll have the opportunity to see cycling's greatest figures, from Tadej Pogacar to Jonas Vingegaard, and of course the Spaniards Enric Mas, Ion Izagirre, Alex Aranburu, Carlos Rodríguez, and Marc Soler.
The route consists of seven flat stages, six medium-mountain stages, six mountain stages (five of which will have mountain finishes), and two individual time trials. The program includes climbs or summits in the Massif Central, the Pyrenees, the Alps, and the Jura. The Col de la Loze (2,304 m) will be the highest point of the 2025 Tour de France. The climb will be made for the first time on its eastern flank, on the Courchevel side, and the total elevation gain of the 2025 Tour de France will be 52,500 meters. The two rest days (Tuesday, July 15 and Monday, July 21) have already been completed. A total of €2.3 million will be at stake for teams and riders, including €500,000 for the winner of the final individual general classification.
This Wednesday's race, following Tuesday's demanding finish on Mont Ventoux, begins in Bollène and finishes in Valence after 160.4 kilometers of essentially flat terrain. The start will be at 1:35 p.m. and the finish is scheduled for around 5:10 p.m.
The 2025 Tour de France will not leave its borders, with its entire route taking place within the Hexagon, something that hasn't happened since 2020. Bonuses will be awarded at the finish of each road stage, with 10, 6, and 4 seconds respectively awarded to the top three finishers.
Stage 17 is a transitional stage between Tuesday's summit finish at Mont Ventoux and the two tough Alpine stages on Thursday and Friday. This Wednesday will feature two fourth-category climbs (Col du Pertuis and Col de Tartaiguille), although they are far from the finish.
A stage profile that seems ideal for a breakaway , and Wout van Aert 's name stands out among them. It could also be decided in a sprint, where Tim Merlier and Jonathan Milan would have the best chances of adding another victory to this Tour.
In any case, a day on which the gap in the overall standings shouldn't change. Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard, separated by 4'15'' in favor of the Slovenian, will play the Tour (if it isn't already decided) in the Alps.

Wednesday's stage will be broadcast on Spanish television via RTVE, on La 2 , and on its online platform, RTVE Play . In addition, Eurosport will broadcast all stages live on its television channels and the Max streaming platform. The television signal can also be followed via LaLiga+ and EITB. And remember, you can also follow all the Tour information on abc.es.
