Tennis player suspended for four years for doping

British tennis player Tara Moore was banned for four years yesterday after a tribunal agreed with the International Tennis Integrity Agency on the punishment for her use of performance-enhancing drugs.
Moore tested positive for the anabolic steroids boldenone and nandrolone in April 2022, but was cleared in December 2023 after an independent tribunal determined that the result was caused by consuming contaminated meat while competing in Colombia. The ITIA appealed that ruling, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in favor of the ITIA.
Moore, 32, is ranked No. 864 in singles and No. 187 in doubles, playing in lower-tier WTA Tour events since returning from her provisional suspension.
