"Our captain, Christian Marrugo, and our goalkeeper, Carlos Jr. Mosquera, were involved in a car accident while on their way to training, with no major consequences to report," the statement began.
According to the statement, the two men were sent to the Serena del Mar clinic in the capital of Bolívar, where their condition and the severity of their injuries were evaluated. According to the medical report, "Marrugo suffered a minor scalp injury, while Mosquera suffered some bruises to his shoulder, with no major complications."
